Documents dating from 1200 to 1300 BC, the Arab dances were initiated by the priestesses on the banks of the Nile River, practiced in antiquity by peoples who believed that female fertility was linked to the land, ritual dances where they were excluded men and women received magical powers by wiggling their hips and belly with erotic dancing.
Currently these dances have included elements such as swords, fans, wings, stones and beautiful costumes for choreographic delight.
